Terms of Use
Last updated: August 29, 2026 · This is a template and not legal advice.
These terms are the agreement between you and Rally for using the app and this website. By creating or joining a rally, you agree to what's below. We've kept it as human as a legal document can reasonably be.
The spirit of it: Add your own photos, respect the people in your rallies, and don't misuse the service. We'll keep Rally running and keep your content yours.
On this page
1. Using Rally
You may use Rally if you can form a binding agreement with us and are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your region). By using the app, you confirm that's true and that you'll follow these terms.
2. Your account
You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Choose a display name that isn't misleading or offensive to the people you share rallies with. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, videos, and captions you add. You grant Rally the limited permission needed to store your content and display it to the members of the rallies you add it to, and nothing more. We don't claim rights to sell or license your content, and we don't use it in advertising.
You're responsible for the content you upload. Only add photos you have the right to share, and be considerate of the people who appear in them.
4. Rules of the road
To keep Rally safe and useful for everyone, don't:
- Upload content that's illegal, harassing, hateful, or that violates someone's privacy or rights.
- Add people to a rally in order to abuse, spam, or deceive them.
- Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Use Rally to build a competing dataset or to scrape other members' content.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Rallies you create
If you create a rally, you decide who to invite and you can manage or remove it. Treat that role responsibly because the other members are trusting you with a shared space and their photos. Members can leave a rally at any time and keep the originals they've saved.
6. Subscriptions
Rally is free to use. Two paid plans, Rally Plus and Rally Business, raise the limits on the rallies you create. Current prices and what each plan includes are on our Pricing page and are shown again before you buy.
- Auto-renewal. Paid plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, depending on the option you chose) and your payment method is charged the then-current price for that plan, until you cancel.
- Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. Rally doesn't see or store your full card details. Your subscription is tied to the Rally account that purchased it.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Profile → Subscription in the app, using Manage subscription. Cancelling stops future charges; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then your account returns to the free plan. Content you added is not deleted when a plan ends, but the free plan's limits apply to new rallies and uploads.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable and we don't prorate or refund partial billing periods, except where the law where you live requires it.
- Price changes. We may change subscription prices. If we do, we'll give you notice before the change takes effect for you, and the new price applies only to renewals after that notice. If you don't agree, cancel before your next renewal.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and keep your plan active for a short grace period. If it still can't be collected, your account returns to the free plan.
7. Service & changes
We're continually improving Rally, so features may change, launch, or be retired over time. We may update these terms; if we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Rally after changes means you accept the updated terms.
8. Disclaimers & liability
Rally is provided "as is." While we work hard to keep your photos safe and the service reliable, we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Rally isn't liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the service. Keep your own copies of photos that matter to you.
